Comprehensive Oral Evaluation
Preventing dental problems before they start is always preferable to treating them after the fact. Our preventive and diagnostic services are designed to keep your child’s teeth and gums healthy at every stage of development, and to catch anything that needs attention as early as possible.
Dental Cleanings
Even with consistent brushing and flossing at home, tartar and plaque can accumulate in areas that are difficult to reach. A professional cleaning removes that buildup, polishes the teeth, and gives us a chance to assess gum health. Keeping up with regular cleanings is one of the most effective things you can do to prevent cavities.
Fluoride Treatments
Fluoride strengthens tooth enamel and helps protect against decay. We apply fluoride at routine visits in the form of a gel, foam, or varnish. It is a simple, quick step that provides meaningful protection, particularly during the years when teeth are still developing.

Digital X-Rays
X-rays allow us to see what cannot be observed with the naked eye, including decay between teeth, developing permanent teeth, bone levels, and other structural details that inform treatment planning. Our digital X-ray system produces clear, high-resolution images instantly while using significantly less radiation than traditional film-based X-rays. We take X-rays only when clinically appropriate for your child’s age and individual needs.
Oral Hygiene Guidance
Good habits at home are the foundation of a healthy smile. At each visit, we take time to review brushing and flossing technique with both patients and parents, and to answer any questions about home care. We tailor our guidance to your child’s age, development, and specific needs.
Dental Sealants
The back molars have deep grooves and pits in their chewing surfaces that are notoriously difficult to keep clean and are among the most common sites for cavities in children. Sealants are a thin, protective coating applied directly to those surfaces to seal out food and bacteria. The process is quick, comfortable, and completed in a single visit. Sealants can be a particularly effective preventive measure as permanent molars come in during the early school-age years.
